Enjoy the versatility of this wonderful vegetable steamed, grilled, sautéed, roasted or in soups. Green and white asparagus make the most elegant presentations on the plate.
Parmesan Asparagus Spears
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 pound asparagus spears, trimmed. Note: large asparagus are ideal for grilling.
- 1 tsp Olive Oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat grill to high temperature.
Lightly coat asparagus spears with oil and season.
Grill over high heat for 2-3 minutes until char marks appear.
For variety try one of these additions:
- Squeeze fresh lemon on the asparagus.
- Drizzle balsamic vinegar.
- Shave fresh Parmesan cheese over the asparagus.
