Southern Specialties’ Regal Artichokes are known for their excellent taste and unique appearence. The purple highlights on our artichokes are a sign of sweetness.

Parmesan Garlic Roasted Artichokes

Makes 4-6 Servings


  • 4 Southern Select Artichokes
  • 3-4 TBSP olive oil
  • 2-3 Cloves crushed garlic
  • parmesan cheese


Wash all vegetables. Trim stems and tops off of the artichokes.

Bring a shallow pot of water to a boil. Insert steamer trays and steam artichokes for 8 minutes.

Fire up the broiler!

Slice each artichoke in half. In a large mixing bowl, mix together olive oil and crushed garlic.

Add artichokes, toss in mixing bowl to coat in oil.

Using tongs, place each artichoke cut side down on a baking tray.

Sprinkle chokes with parmesan cheese. Place under broiler and broil until cheese turns light brown(3-5 minutes).
